Starting next month, Inside Mac Games (CD-Rom Edition) will regularly feature The Links Record Book! This folder will contain the following items:
1. Course Records! The top golfers will be listed for every course--Macintosh
versions as well as SVGA converted courses not yet released for the Macintosh.
2. The Hole-In-One Club! Send in your instant replay of that ace for everyone to see!
Your name will be forever engraved on the Honorable Roster of the Hole-In-One
Club.
3. More, to be announced next month!
Here's how you can send in your recorded round or saved shot:
--If you have an America Online account, you can attach the file(s) to an email message addressed to "Sdt23". please put your file(s) in a folder along with a Teachtext file stating:
Your Name
Email address
Course, Tee, and Score
Date the score was achieved
City, State, and Country
(Your email address and location are optional information if you don't want either to be listed)
--Or, you may send the folder with the file(s) and all the above information converted to binhex format and pasted into an email message addressed to "Sdt23@aol.com".
--Or, you may send the folder with the file(s) and the same information on a floppy disk addressed to:
Steven Travers
136-12 Lyman St.
Waltham, MA 02154-5629
USA
(If you would like the floppy to be returned, you may send a self-addressed stamped envelope along with it)
All the recorded rounds from the top scorers will be included in this folder every month, so that you can play against the golfer that you're trying to beat!
All hole-in-one replays will be accepted, but submitting shots that reveal a large number of mulligans on the scorecard or of shots taken on that tee is not the idea here.
Note that only the top SCORERS (and not the top scores) will be listed for each course. You can keep sending in rounds to try and top your best score, but only your best score will be listed for that course.
Separate lists will be maintained for rounds played from each tee on each course.
At least the top 25 scorers on each course will be listed, perhaps more.
